Sunre service

There will be a Community Sunre Service at 7 a.m. Sunday, March 31, at Old Orchard Park’s pavilion. Everyone invited.

Area Methodt Easter services

A Maundy Thursday worship service will be at Burke UMC will be at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 28.

A Good Friday service will be at Diboll First UMC at 6 p.m. Friday, March 29.

The Community Easter Sunre Service will be at 7 a.m. Sunday, March 31, at Old Orchard Park.

Easter worship will be at 11 a.m. at Diboll First UMC, followed by Easter egg hunt.

Ryan Chapel Easter

Ryan Chapel will have an Easter egg hunt will be held for all children at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 30, followed by a hot dog lunch.

Easter sunre service will begin at 7 a.m. Sunday, March 31, followed by breakfast in the fellowship hall.

Archeological Society

The Deep East Texas Archeological Society will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, April 1, at the Newton County Htory Museum.

Stop & Shop

Learn to Dance

If you want to learn how to dance or freshen up on your dance skills, the SPJST, in Lufkin, having dance lessons April 2, 9, 16 and 23. The location 197 Hughes Road. Plant Sale

The Angelina County master Gardeners are holding their annual plant sale on Saturday, April 6, until 2 p.m. It will be held at The Farmer’s Market on South Medford Drive in Lufkin. Plants available include annuals, perennials, roses and fruit trees suitable for our area. Proceeds from the sale are used to support programs and projects for the community. Singing cancelled for fundraer

The Saturday, April 6, singing at the Beulah Congregational Methodt Church has been cancelled. Everyone encouraged to attend the Relay for Life fundraer at 6 p.m. April 6 at Calvary Baptt Church in Lufkin. Th Southern Gospel singing will feature the Stanleys, Waymakers, Martin Family, Narrow Road QT, Ransomed QT, Bennie Boles Trio, & Crossmen QT. Jack Havard will be the MC. A love offering will be received for cancer research. Calvary Baptt located on Montrose Street off the intersection of Denman & TImberland. The next singing at the Beulah Congregational Methodt Church will resume May 4.

Spring Bazaar

St. Paul’s United Methodt Church will be having a Spring Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13. They will have baked goods, white elephant rummage sale, silent auction items, quilt give-a-way, handmade crafts, plants and much more. There a fh fry starting at 11 a.m. Other vendors from the area will be there as well. Come out and enjoy the fun.
