Snow biscuits a treat

& Delicious

I have been treating some of my readers to hot biscuits and have had requests for the recipe.  Here it is again courtesy of Mrs. Lillie Moore of Huntington.  Thanks again, Lillie….the Snow Biscuits  are becoming quite popular down here in Diboll.  These are super easy, the first time I made them they turned out great!   You can’t mess them up!

Snow Biscuits
2 cups flour
¾ cup very warm water
1 pkg. active dry yeast
¼ cup oil
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tsp. salt
Keep all ingredients warm.
Dissolve yeast in water, add sugar and mix.  Add oil, sift together the flour and salt, add to liquid.  Stir and place on floured board.  Knead only until not sticky.  Roll out dough on a floured board to about ½” thick and cut out with biscuit cutter.  Put in oiled pan.  Let rise 30 minutes in a warm place.  Bake at 425 degrees until light brown….about 12 minutes.
