Subvarsity v’ball vs. Shepherd

The White team (6-5) notched another win with great team play from everyone on the court. White won 25-20, 18-25, 15-9. Standouts for the game were Arianna Garza with 6 aces, 3 kills; Alexis Grimaldo with 5 aces, 3 kills and 4 assists

The Red team (6-5) defeated Shepherd tonight in two straight sets, 25-13, 25-7. Liz Martinez served 13 straight points in the second game with 3 aces; Ashleee Pantoja had 6 digs; Shardnea Rayson had 2 aces, 4 kills; Darbie Parks had 3 aces, 2 kills; and Chloe Pershall had 4 kills.

The Diboll Red/JV team (7 wins, 5 losses) came out ahead after three long grueling games, 17-25, 25-20, 25-18).

Standouts for the match were Shardnea Rayson, 4 aces, 3 kills; Aileen Robles, 7 aces, 1 kill; and Mya Ward ,9 kills

DHS subvarsity vs. Woodville

The White team is getting better and better each game. Come district time this team will be the ones to beat. They Lady Jacks battled back and forth the whole match, but Lost in two sets, 23-25, 16-25 Standout players were Ariana Bussey, 4 aces; and Alexis Grimaldo with 4 assists, was all over the court.

The Red team lost a tough match against Woodville. 25-27, 19-25. These girls have had to shuffle around players with varsity, but are still competing every match. Leading players were Ashley Pantoj,a 6 digs; Shardnea Rayson, 2 kills; Chloe Presnall, 2 kills, 9 spikes;Aileen Robles, 9 spikes; and Jyspy Rosales, 4 assists.

Corrigan tourney

Diboll White Team earned third place in the Corrigan Freshman Tournament on Thursday, Sept. 5.

Diboll defeated Timpson, 25-19, 25-14; lost to Huntington, 22-25, 24-26; and defeated Corrigan, 25-16, 26-24.

Standouts for the day were Alexis Grimaldo, 10 assists, 4 aces; April Whinery, 8 assists; Arrian Bussey, 5 kills, 3 aces; Arriana Garza, 4 kills; Peyton Morgan, 2 Kills, 7 aces; and Jackie Aguirre, 15 digs.
