The fireworks show, originally scheduled for Homecoming will be shot about 15 minutes after the Diboll-Huntington game Friday, Nov. 8, from the left side of the visitors bleachers (if you’re looking from the press box).
Diboll Youth Basketball is holding early registration sign-up for ages 5 to 14 until Nov. 10 at $30 per player. After then sign-up fee will be $50 per player. The final Culinary Arts showcase is Dec. 2. The Diboll High School Culinary Arts class works with the Diboll Family Literacy Center to share their talents and teach others how to make fun, family-friendly treats, tablescapes, decorations, etc.

Angelina Retired Teacher/School Personnel Assoc. will meet at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Southside Baptist Church. The speaker will be Robyn Hight telling about services for seniors.
Diboll 4-H is having a drawing for a $300 Visa gift card. Chances are $1 each or six for $5. Prize to be awarded Nov. 15. Funds raised will benefit Diboll 4-H scholarships and 4-H programs.
The PTSA is taking orders for holiday poinsettias. Deadline to order is November 22 with delivery on December 2. The six-inch pots come in red, marble, and Picasso. Each plant is $10. To place an order call Jan Wilkerson at 829-4817.
Scouts in need
Tiger Cub and Cub Scouts in Groveton are in need of uniforms and accessories for their needy troop members. Any donations of used Scout stuff such as shirts, shorts, patches, belts, neck ties and camping equipment is appreciated. For more information, call Matt Haggard at 936-209-6989.
The Coalition is hosting the Interagency Coalition meeting this month. The meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19th at the Angelina County Chamber of Commerce Community Room. The guest speaker will be J. Hoxi Jones, a Regional Partnership Specialist of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. Who will be discussing the new affordable health care act. T.L.L. Temple Memorial Library in Diboll invites is organizing “Tangled Threads” for crafters of all ages. The program is from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. the second Tuesday of each month. All skill levels are welcomed. Please bring your own hooks, yarn, and supplies. “Tangled Threads” will on the second Tuesday of the month in the Community Room at the library.
