Health before holidays;Memorial helps city employees with health fair
The City of Diboll recently partnered with Memorial Medical Center-Lufkin to host a free health fair for city employees. The health fair was held Nov. 21 at the Lottie and Arthur Temple Civic Cente,r with Memorial offering various health screenings and education.
“Memorial wants to be a partner in your health care. Whether it is offering preventative screenings to keep you healthy or treating you as a patient in one of our four facilities, Memorial is dedicated to the well-being of those in the communities we serve,” said Yana Ogletree, system director of Marketing Communications.
Diboll employees participating in the health fair had the opportunity to take part in numerous laboratory screenings, including coronary risk profiles, prostate blood draws, and metabolic profiles. Additionally, height, weight, blood pressure and body mass index (BMI) were evaluated. Flu shots were also available. Memorial also provided cardiovascular, stroke and diabetes education.
