For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. –
Advent season is upon us. This is the time where we prepare our hearts for Christ’s coming. Our church has the advent wreath which is shaped in a perfect circle to symbolize the eternity of God. It reminds Christians of eternity and God’s endless love, which has no beginning and no end. The green of the wreath represents hope that Christians have in God, the hope of newness, renewal, and eternal life. The candles on the wreath symbolize the light of God coming into our world through the birth of His son, Jesus.
This week, we lit the first candle which symbolizes hope. Hope is a strong and confident expectation. It’s like a light shinning in a dark place. Even as we busy ourselves with our regular routines, we should seek the coming of Jesus. Hope is the feeling that events can turn out for the best, and the coming of Christ is… well, it’s the absolute best! Without that hope, we have nothing. Christians desire Christ to come with great anticipation.
Christ will be coming. Join us in preparing our hearts for His return.

Worship, Family, Community, Faith
We are here to worship at Diboll FUMC! Worship is at the heart of our services providing a personal, spiritual connection through song; Bible based services, and connection to like believers. Family – We are part of the family of God, but we are also a close knit church family as well. We love, support, and grow in Christ together.
