To: All Supporters and Contributors to the Diboll High School Class of 2014 Project Graduation Celebration Event
On May 30, 2014 at 10:30 p.m. Diboll High School graduates loaded three buses that took them to Nacogdoches to the Stephen F. Austin Recreation Center for a fun filled night with their friends who most had been with since Kindergarten.
While there, they were treated to tons of food, desserts, and an ice cream sundae bar. They were busy all night swimming, playing dodge ball, volleyball, basketball, rock climbing, sumo wrestling, or just hanging out with their lifelong friends.
At the end of the night each senior in attendance received a $150 Visa gift card and $30 in cash. Then there were 37 additional drawings for more cash, gift cards and prizes. This is a memory that each of the seniors will cherish for the rest of their lives and for some it may be the last time they were with some of their classmates before they all go their separate ways.
Most importantly each one of these seniors enjoyed this night free of any kind of substance such as alcohol or drugs, which many times accompany a party such as this one.
So this is a thank-you note — for buying from and giving to our Senior Class of 2014, for giving when you may not have had it to give and for helping when you had other things to do, and for just supporting our kids in everything they did to ensure they had a great Project Graduation event.
The future looks bright for these Seniors, and we want to acknowledge your contribution to this great group of young adults. We appreciate each and every one of you!
