BBQ and bacon … great recipe

It’s the time of year for get togethers and cook-outs and this burger sounds like a winner.

BBQ Bacon Burgers
¼ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup barbecue sauce
4 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
1 ½ tsp. dried minced onion
1 ½ tsp. steak seasoning
1 lb. ground beef
4 slices Swiss cheese
4 hamburger buns, split
Lettuce leaves, tomato slices
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and barbecue sauce.  In another bowl, combine the bacon, 2 TBSP. of the mayonnaise mixture, onion and steak seasoning;  crumble beef over mixture and mix well.  Shape into 4 patties
Grill burgers, covered over medium heat for 5-7 minutes on each side or until a meat thermometer reads 160 degrees and juices run clear.  Top with cheese.  Cover and cook 1-2 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.  Spread remaining mayonnaise mixture over buns; top with each with a burger, lettuce and tomato.
